04 / LOOK BENEATH THE SURFACE

What’s inside the board matters

Use a cross-section to ask better questions about the cap, core, profile and manufacturing consistency.

CAPPED COMPOSITE

Surface protection, around the core

Capped composite board profile showing the outer layer and hollow core
  • Confirm cap coverage for the selected model
  • Ask for the stated core formulation
  • Check dimensions against the profile drawing
  • Review the applicable performance report
UNCAPPED COMPOSITE

The composite surface is exposed

Uncapped composite board profile with a uniform core and rectangular chambers
  • Check surface finish and colour variation
  • Ask how the board is expected to weather
  • Compare dimensions and installation guidance
  • Review maintenance and warranty conditions

05 / AN HONEST FIT

Is SungemWPC right for you?

We’d rather be clear from the start.

A good fit if you…

  • Import by the container and want direct factory access
  • Need several product lines in a coordinated order
  • Want to discuss your own colours, profiles or brand
  • Value responsive communication and clear documents

Another route may suit you if…

  • You need a few boards from local stock tomorrow — a local distributor may be faster
  • Your only priority is the lowest initial board price, regardless of specification or support

YOUR QUESTIONS, ANSWERED

Comparison questions, answered

See all FAQs
Is composite decking better than wood?

The right choice depends on your budget, desired appearance, maintenance expectations and site conditions. Composite offers a different care routine and material finish; timber offers a fully natural material. Compare specific products, installation requirements and whole-project costs.

What is the difference between capped and uncapped WPC?

Capped boards add an outer protective layer to the composite core. Uncapped boards expose the composite material at the surface. Compare the selected profile’s care instructions, test documentation and warranty rather than assuming all boards in either category perform the same.

Why buy from a factory instead of a trading company?

Direct factory access can make production and technical discussions more straightforward. A trading company may offer a wider sourcing network. Assess the specific supplier’s quality responsibilities, communication and ability to coordinate your order.

Can I combine different building materials in one order?

Tell us which boards, profiles and accessories you need. Our team can review the sourcing, compatibility, packing and shipping options for your proposed order.

How can I compare quality before ordering?

Request samples of the exact profiles you are considering. Compare their dimensions, finish, cross-section and care requirements, and ask each supplier for the documents that apply to that product.

How should I compare warranties?

Request the written warranty for the exact model and intended use. Check what is covered, exclusions, installation and maintenance conditions, and the claim process, as well as the stated term.

FEEL THE DIFFERENCE FOR YOURSELF

Compare the samples.
Then make your choice.

Put the profiles, finishes and documents side by side. Tell us what you are considering and we’ll help you choose a sample selection.
